SON-IN-LAW is a wall installation consist from painting and photo. The painting represent the portrait of Josip Broz Tito (1892 to 1980, president for life in SFR Yugoslavia). Last wife of President Tito was Jovanka Broz Budisavljević, born in the Lika region (Croatia), who recently passed away. In memory of this long-standing relationship emerged this work. Its intention was that on a bit of whimsy way point out their perhaps forgotten relationship, which is at the end of Tito’s life was manipulated. So far, Tito was never photographed with Lika’s cap, so this is a posthuman chance to see him with it on his head. Original photo, download from the Internet, shows Tito together with Jovanka, photographed in the manner of the old marriage photos. With this photo was painted Tito’s portrait and added a traditional Lika cap. Because of the context, Jovanka was omitted on the painting, but it does not diminish her historical significance and the role she played in the growing-up period of the authors.
