The performance took place in the Gallery of Contemporary Arts in Pancevo during the APPEARANCE exhibition’s opening. M & P assumed their positions in the dark gallery, connected by a rope stretched between their necks. The performance commenced with the interplay of sound and light. Initially, M & P engaged in a silent exchange, gazing directly into each other’s eyes. They then began to gently pull each other, relying solely on the power of their bodies and necks. Over time, this pulling evolved into an intense dance between two interconnected bodies. M’s palms were symbolically painted in red, while P’s were in black, and their feet were adorned in gold. In the final segment of the performance, M & P pulled each other using the power of their painted palms within the confines of a black circle on the floor. They maintained their gaze, locked onto each other’s eyes. The performance concluded as the music ended, and the light faded away. The performance symbolically portrayed the process of M & P coming together while surmounting various barriers. It marked their debut in the public eye and introduced them as a novel artistic presence on the professional art scene.
