M & P positioned themselves in close proximity to each other within the dimly lit gallery, bathed solely in the glow of two blue spotlights. Their heads were wrapped together with cling film. The performance commenced with the accompaniment of electronic music and the arrival of the audience in the gallery. At a certain point, M & P began struggling for air… After an intense battle for freedom, they managed to tear the cling film apart. Beneath this initial layer of plastic, physically separating them, lay another layer of cling film covering both of their heads. M & P reached out to one another’s cling-film-covered heads, and suddenly, they initiated the process of unwrapping the film, assisting each other in their struggle for liberation. At the conclusion of the performance, and on the verge of suffocation, they successfully removed the film… Following this, M & P extinguished the spotlights, exited the gallery space, and, simultaneously, the dramatic music, punctuated by constant heartbeats, ceased.

The performance is directly linked to the exhibited works titled MENTAL GHETTO and symbolically represents the division of Androgen in its male-female duality… Furthermore, the performance encapsulates a physical battle for survival, a reflection of self-awareness, and the individual characteristics of one another. Within the context of MP, the performance symbolically embodies the universal struggle for existence…
