Sound installation SCHAM is a recorded phone call to the Austrian Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia, regarding a visa application for the preparation of an exhibition at Neue Galerie Graz. A machine – an automated system answered the phone call and played instructions for further procedures related to the visa application. This is another in a series of unpleasant individual experiences that citizens experienced during the 1990s in the territory of the former Yugoslavia/Serbia.
