M & P were positioned in a completely dark gallery. The performance commenced when the video projection began. The video projection, accompanied by loud sound, featured static images from the FRAGILITY – POWER of WORDS series. There was a 10-second pause between each image, during which neither images nor sound were present. As the video projection began, M began wrapping her head with cling film. M then handed the cling film to P, who proceeded to wrap his own head. Both M and P continued to envelop their heads, using an entire roll of cling film. At a certain point, they began to struggle for air… By the end of the performance, teetering on the brink of suffocation, they managed to free themselves from the plastic wrap…
The performance symbolically depicted the creative energy of intimate words, floating between two interconnected minds (heads), showcasing their immeasurable power, which becomes vitally important and stirs extreme emotions. Through the taxonomy of projected words (images and sound) and their physical struggle for survival, the performance also portrayed an emotional reflection of self-awareness and the distinctive characteristics of each other. In the context of MP, words hold an equal power to the struggle for existence.
