The performance “CONCENTRATION ON MARINA” commenced when M and P distributed postcards with instructions to the audience at the entrance to the SULUV Gallery. After distributing the postcards, M and P positioned themselves facing each other in the center of the gallery. Both focused their attention on a photograph of Marina printed on the postcard. The audience, having read the instructions, also began concentrating on the image. The performance continued until the audience had completely exited the gallery. This served as a signal that the concentration had either weakened or entirely dissipated, or that the act of concentrating on Marina had created discomfort. It was a collective performance, with each individual showcasing their own ability to concentrate, meditate, and practice patience—all virtues that Marina teaches us through her lectures.
