M & P stood facing each other in a dimly lit gallery room, separated from the audience by a translucent black fabric barrier. The performance commenced when the music started, coinciding with the arrival of the audience. M & P began to dance, following the rhythm of the music, accompanied by intermittent bursts of light from powerful hand-held battery lamps. M used her lamp to illuminate P’s dancing figure in accordance with the music’s tempo, and P reciprocated by doing the same for M. They synchronized their movements to an internal rhythm or the rhythm of the music. Throughout the performance, M & P danced while casting intriguing shadows on the gallery walls, often tenderly caressing each other with the play of light. It’s essential to note that M & P maintained physical distance from each other during the entire performance. The performance concluded at the precise moment when the music came to an end.
